Some of you may be aware that I was in Australia for 5 Weeks, seeing my eldest daughter, who, because of the pandemic I hadn't seen for 2 and half years.
Obviously I had the most amazing time.
Picture this - 01.00 Australian time, we are in the arranged taxi from Melbourne Airport, having landed an hour before, we're hot as it's still 25+ degrees, we're tired but so excited, the journey through bustle of a city in the early hours. We draw up to the apartment that we last saw in November 2019 and there she is - imagine the long tearful hug...
She's stressing as her partner isn't home, having lost his phone and she's talking to some random teenager trying to describe where she lives so he can deliver Tom's phone to her. A lovely teenage boy has just found it in the middle of the road and they were chatting to discuss logistics - she waves us in saying "I'll be 2 mins"
"All fine" she says - "Tom's on his way home from his best friends 'stag do' and his phone has been...
I'm a little embarrassed to say that I'm slightly addicted to a game that's on my phone!
It's called the Water Sort Puzzle...
You get various colours in tubes with 2 empty tubes, basically you then have to tip each colour in turn into another tube with the same colour in and to get to the next level you have to get each tube full of an individual colour - I know it sounds easy - well after a bit of practice yes it is - except that sometimes IT JUST ISNT!
Sometimes it can take a couple of days (please please do not think that I play this all the time - just in short breaks honest!)
So I can sale through a few levels no problem and then one will stump me, and I have to refresh time and time again because I just can't get it right it drives me mad, but I sort of enjoy the challenge because I know there is a right outcome!
Why am I telling you this?...
While I was mindlessly playing this game (I convince myself that it's...
Are you on LINKEDIN?
Linked in is one of those platforms that even if you don't use it to post to often it should have a great profile.
It doesn't matter whether you are an employee and employer a Freelancer or an Entrepreneur!
People check you out on there!
And if you use your profile as a Mini Website then that's a plus!
Perhaps you don't have a website, or it needs updating and you don't have the spare cash flow to do that at the moment - then use a great LinkedIn profile instead and send people there!
It can have as much information on it as a website, plus all your links - Isn't that just brilliant?
But what does a great profile need?
Well, it needs...
It just needs a...

3 weeks ago, Michelle invited me to go to a tap dancing lesson.
Having known Michelle for about 4 years, (she's my neighbour), I was excited to 'go outside' after being cooped up for 2 of those 4 years, I love musical theatre and have happy memories of watching 'Singing in the Rain', so jumped at it wholeheartedly.
After all, Michelle, was also new to this so I had no fear being the worst there!
So off we trekked on a Monday morning with a school girl enthusiasm that we both found equally amusing.
Unlike many of the newbies (I hadn't purchased tap shoes), but the instructor was kind enough to lend me a pair of shoes that was one size too small!
But never one to let a minor issue to damper my spirits, I felt like Dorothy when I tapped my heels together.
The next hour flew by and in spite of the tight tap shoes, I came away feeling invigorated and keen to go back again!
This momentum was carried into the following day at work, where I used this new sense of creativity and sense...
So we've listened, taken note and now...

Last Christmas my husband bought me a book, which I could say changed my life!
That may seem a little extreme but not read on...
The book - The Wim Hof Method - Activate Your Potential, Transcend Your Limits!
Now before I start to tell you about this let me tell you about me...
I am a complete woos in the cold, I hate cold weather, it takes me 10 mins to get into a swimming pool and I promise I had never had a cold shower - I would rather go without any shower!
Bear Grylls says that “Wim is a legend of the power ice has to heal and empower”.
We have all heard of rugby players who have had ice baths to heal their sore muscles, but I didn't see myself doing that
This is the preface that had me hooked...
Would you like to have more energy, less stress, and a stronger immune system?
Well yes, I would like all 3 of those please and I'm guessing many of you would too!
The man by his own admission is slightly crazy, but all his claims have been researched,...
Are you 'Stuck in a Rut' or 'In The Groove'
Two very different things…
Being in a groove = Performing or operating very well.
You're in your flow, living your best life and everything comes easily and simply because you know where you’re going and how to get there!
Stuck in a rut = Too fixed in one particular type of job, activity, or method and needing to change.
You're bored, not motivated and life feels difficult.
Defining your Personal Brand and building Self Awareness around who you are, your purpose and your why, can change that Rut into a Groove!
Which one are you in?
Sometimes you have a question or a query about your life, business, a friendship that keeps recurring and your not sure how to get to your answer?
It may be...

The Friday before last was our youngest daughters Graduation of a First Class Honours Degree From Sheffield Hallam - a year and a half late!
Better late than never!
After doing her dissertation at home, and then graduating with an email, she definitely deserved her day in a gown!
We were of course proud parents!
She invited a friend to come out for supper with us...
Her friend was lovely and so excited
She had never been to the chain of restaurants we went to
she had never had truffles
She saved all the prosecco corks
The whole time she was very open about everything and enjoyed herself immensely which was so engaging!
It made me think of what I was like at that age...
I wouldn't have been as open or as honest as her, my overwhelming instinct would have been to have fit in - I was brought up in a single parent family and we didn't have many treats or experiences and I would not have owned up to my lack of these or...
Becoming the person you should be can happen when we get you clear on your Personal Brand.
Sometimes its about taking away the stories others have told us to discover who you really are.
Your identity comes from the stories that we tell ourselves and the actions we take to match that story.
When I was in infant school I was held down for 2 years because I couldn't read.
By the time I got to junior school, I was pretty sure I was thick - add into that scenario that my parents divorced and my father was never seen or spoken about again gives you a good idea of where my self esteem was!
Fast forward to middle school, here, one day my biology teacher told the class that we had to get into the groups that we thought were suitable for us O'level or CSE - I went for the CSE class.
At the end of the lesson, my biology teacher (Mr White) asked me why I had gone into that group - 'Because I'm not very clever and that is all I think I can do - he then...
To me 'C' Words are a real gift and guide to a Personal Brand!
